Things to do whilst you’re in Leeds
There are fantastic shopping opportunities right on your doorstep, with the main shopping area just 5 minutes’ walk from The Chambers Park Place. Whilst every apartment has its own kitchen for cooking up gourmet delights, there is also a huge array of restaurants if you fancy an evening out. We recommend Primo for authentic Italian food in a cosy atmosphere, Chaophraya for a bustling atmosphere and great Thai food, or La Grillade for a fantastic steak.
Leeds Museum is a great place to visit with children, with exhibitions changing regularly and lots to see and do. Have a look at the Leeds City Council Museums and Galleries to read about Easter Holiday events at the Leeds Museum and nearby galleries.
You could even learn something new during your trip! Leeds College of Art are running a series of 3-day short courses including jewellery-making, millinery and drawing. Why not combine your holiday with trying out a new skill?

Spring has sprung in Leeds! We are having a lovely sunny day and getting ready for our weekend visitors. There are a few special occasions being celebrated at The Chambers this weekend. We’ve had 2 bouquets delivered, a beautifully wrapped birthday present and a bunch of balloons - so we’re expecting 4 happy guests to check in later today for their weekend treat.

Barbecue at The Chambers
We were lucky when we chose 1st October for our barbecue at Park Place. As the temperature soared to 29 degrees, staff and guests of The Chambers enjoyed burgers, jacket potatoes and marshmallows in the courtyard on a fun and sociable evening.
We run regular social events at The Chambers, providing an opportunity for guests to meet with staff and their neighbours from Park Place and Riverside West. Many guests come to stay from abroad for weeks and months at a time and enjoy the opportunity to meet others in the same position, resulting in some lasting friendships.
Our next event will be a mulled wine and mince pie evening to warm us up on the chilly winter days to come!

Bespoke dating service Elect Club launched at The Chambers Park Place this Thursday. Aimed at busy professionals aged 25-45, Elect Club’s consultants meet with members to discuss their requirements and match them with potential partners. With great success in other cities in the UK, The Chambers team are delighted to support the launch of Elect Club in Leeds.
200 guests attended the glamorous evening, with Park Place stunningly dressed with a red carpet entrance, lanterns, balloons and confetti. Guests enjoyed champagne and canapes in the Reception and courtyard, set to live guitar music.

We are delighted to announce that The Chambers is a finalist in the coveted White Rose Awards! The awards celebrate the best Yorkshire tourism has to offer, from restaurants to attractions and accommodation. We are one of 6 in the ‘Self Catering, Cruisers & Serviced Apartments’ award.
Independent chairwoman of judges Barbara Woroncow said: “With so many exceptional entries it is always a pleasure to see so many high quality submissions; the judges always struggle to choose who should go through to the awards. Yorkshire has such an abundance of tourism gems, those who made the finalist list should be incredibly proud of themselves.”
…And we certainly are! The winners will be announced in October, so we have our fingers crossed.

At Park Place we have meeting rooms available for use by both guests and businesses, with outstanding facilities and competitive rates. Dedicated events staff will be on hand to offer you any help you need, from arranging outside catering to explaining how to use the cutting edge facilities.
Our largest meeting room, the Maurice Paynel Suite, can cater for up to 28 delegates boardroom style, up to 75 theatre style or the whole ground floor can be hired for up to 200 for a reception. The grand marbled rooms have played host to a wide variety of events, from seminars to wine tasting evenings and from private dinners to a fashion show. The Maurice Paynel suite is equipped with air conditioning and heating controlled within the room, sound system and plenty of natural light. The built-in plasma screen ensures a hassle-free presentation as you can plug a laptop straight into it.

The Library is stylish and cosy, ideal for smaller meetings or for use as a breakout space. It can be set up boardroom style, or more informally with armchairs and coffee tables.
Our outdoor Courtyard is tranquil and secluded. It is perfect for summer drinks parties or informal meetings.
The Maurice Paynel Suite, Library, Courtyard and Reception area can all be hired together for a truly memorable event.
We have built up good relationships with a number of local caterers and can provide food and beverages for a wide variety of events.
