Summer is over unfortunately, and what a great time we have had here at The Chambers, to brighten everyone’s mood I thought I would take a look back over the past few months and remember some of The Chambers summer highlights #bringbackthesun

We kicked off the Summer with a fabulous 50th birthday BBQ, the weather stayed dry and we had 70 guests enjoy a wonderful buffet and BBQ followed by an Irish band and dancing until the wee hours.

Then came the PA’s… mid July brought very hot weather to the city centre and seventy PAs to The Chambers for the PA Hub and Hays recruitment networking evening. We offered guests Prosecco or Pimms on arrival to cool them down which seemed to go down extremely well! It was a brilliant evening of speakers and stalls from Betty’s to East Coast Trains.

 

The Chambers Courtyard is the perfect host for a company party and this was exactly what our next clients needed, a company meeting hosted in the day followed by another Chambers BBQ with homemade burgers and gorgeous salads. To top the night off the Maurice Paynel suite was turned into a Salsa dancing master class!

 

July and August along with long hot summer days also brought record breaking occupancy levels 🙂 Concerts and events such as Bruce Springsteen performing at the #Leedsarena boosted bookings! We were also extremely grateful to all our guests who posted reviews over the summer, some great words of encouragement and praise on TripAdvisor!

As you can see it’s been a busy and exciting few months, a summer to remember!

 


A lot has happened since the last time we posted… for a starter I’m now writing it, I’m Katie and I have taken over from Nicola on the events and marketing side of The Chambers. It has been a busy few weeks and lots of hard work but I finally feel settled and excited to see what’s in store!

We’ve been extremely busy as all the girls and staff will agree both for reservations and for meetings, we hosted a very successful bloggers event, Saturday and Sunday- feedback was great and we even got a shiny new review on Trip advisor about the meeting space! (Always nice to hear when our hard work pays off).

Last week was a week of meetings for new ventures with Christine securing a very exciting promotion with Harvey Nichols; watch this space for more details!

Thursday and Friday saw a great 2 day event organised with lots of cakes and pastries as well as an excellent buffet from Salts Catering:

We were lucky when we chose 1st October for our barbecue at Park Place. As the temperature soared to 29 degrees, staff and guests of The Chambers enjoyed burgers, jacket potatoes and marshmallows in the courtyard on a fun and sociable evening.

We run regular social events at The Chambers, providing an opportunity for guests to meet with staff and their neighbours from Park Place and Riverside West. Many guests come to stay from abroad for weeks and months at a time and enjoy the opportunity to meet others in the same position, resulting in some lasting friendships.

Our next event will be a mulled wine and mince pie evening to warm us up on the chilly winter days to come!


Bespoke dating service Elect Club launched at The Chambers Park Place this Thursday. Aimed at busy professionals aged 25-45, Elect Club’s consultants meet with members to discuss their requirements and match them with potential partners. With great success in other cities in the UK, The Chambers team are delighted to support the launch of Elect Club in Leeds.

200 guests attended the glamorous evening, with Park Place stunningly dressed with a red carpet entrance, lanterns, balloons and confetti. Guests enjoyed champagne and canapes in the Reception and courtyard, set to live guitar music.

We offer more than just sophisticated city centre serviced apartments. If you’re in the city on business, we can cater for your meeting and conferencing needs too, or provide a unique venue for a special event.

At Park Place we have meeting rooms available for use by both guests and businesses, with outstanding facilities and competitive rates. Dedicated events staff will be on hand to offer you any help you need, from arranging outside catering to explaining how to use the cutting edge facilities.

Our largest meeting room, the Maurice Paynel Suite, can cater for up to 28 delegates boardroom style, up to 75 theatre style or the whole ground floor can be hired for up to 200 for a reception. The grand marbled rooms have played host to a wide variety of events, from seminars to wine tasting evenings and from private dinners to a fashion show. The Maurice Paynel suite is equipped with air conditioning and heating controlled within the room, sound system and plenty of natural light. The built-in plasma screen ensures a hassle-free presentation as you can plug a laptop straight into it.

The Library is stylish and cosy, ideal for smaller meetings or for use as a breakout space. It can be set up boardroom style, or more informally with armchairs and coffee tables.

Our outdoor Courtyard is tranquil and secluded. It is perfect for summer drinks parties or informal meetings.

The Maurice Paynel Suite, Library, Courtyard and Reception area can all be hired together for a truly memorable event.

We have built up good relationships with a number of local caterers and can provide food and beverages for a wide variety of events. Bacon sandwiches for a breakfast meeting, hot and cold lunch buffets, canapes, afternoon tea or 5 course sit-down dinners – we can cater for all of your needs and for a variety of budgets.
