A local company were holding an informal 'meet and greet' session and fancied something a little different from the usual buffet lunch.
We suggested an afternoon tea with cucumber and salmon sandwiches, homemade cakes and scones with jam and cream. Served in the Library with smooth jazz music in the background, the event proved to be unique and memorable.
The Maurice Paynel Suite has been transformed on several occasions from a meeting room into a setting for fine dining. We work closely with our very experienced chefs, who can tailor meals to your exact requirements.
From a champagne reception to coffee and homemade truffles at the end of the meal, every aspect of your guests' needs can be catered for. Tables can be laid with linen in your company colours, music can be arranged, and our 24-hour honesty bar can be made available to you.
We can cater for up to 80 delegates theatre style or up to 28 boardroom style. AV requirements such as microphones, projector and screen, laptops etc. can all be arranged. With our 24-hour staffing you can hold your meeting as early in the morning as you like - why not wake up with bacon sandwiches, pastries and coffee before your meeting? If you or any of your delegates would like to stay over in one of our luxury serviced apartments, we have special rates for meeting attendees. Please do not hesitate to ask.
Workshops with Overnight Accommodation
If you are running a workshop of 2 days or more, we can arrange everything from a hot breakfast in the mornings through to dinner for your delegates in the evening and an overnight stay.
A recent event also included cakes and pastries at regular intervals to keep everyone going throughout the workshop!
Evening Drinks and Launch Events
The entire downstairs of The Chambers at 30 Park Place can be hired for special events, including the Maurice Paynel Suite, Reception, Library and - in warmer weather - the Courtyard. Several very successful launches have taken place here with music, champagne and canapes all taken care of.
We have an extensive canape menu with a wide variety of options from spring rolls to mini Yorkshire puddings to oysters in champagne jelly...and many more in between!
The Reception area was decorated with pink balloons, the Maurice Paynel Suite transformed into a catwalk and the Library into a relaxation and massage room. The Chambers was barely recognisable at a Breast Cancer Haven fundraising event. The evening had a Sex and the City theme, with 'Carrie Royale' cocktails and canapes including delicious mini pancakes, bitesize burgers and tiny cheesecakes.
Exclusive dresses and accessories were modelled on the catwalk, then sold at an auction, raising nearly £5000 for the charity.
We run regular several salsa dancing evenings - our marbled floor being pronounced 'perfect' by the expert teachers for mamboing and twirling! The salsa dancing sessions are fun and informal, with an hour-long lesson followed by the chance to practise and socialise. Guests, clients and local businesspeople are all welcome to attend - please contact us for details of the next salsa evening; or if you would like to host something similar.
